For publishers

Turn editorial influence into a measurable AI visibility campaign.

Brands are starting to care about what ChatGPT, Google and other AI systems say about them. Publishers already produce much of the content those answers rely on.

ToldBy gives publishers the measurement layer to package that influence into a campaign: establish a baseline, publish content around the questions that matter, then measure the same information environment over time.

Baseline

Measure how the brand currently appears, which sources AI relies on, and where the gaps are before the campaign starts.

Publish

Track the campaign content across your properties without changing the measurement set.

Measure

Repeat the same questions across AI engines on a schedule and record every answer, citation and null result.

Report

Show the brand what changed, which publisher content entered the answers, and the underlying evidence behind every number.

No guaranteed placement. No black-box visibility score. The question set and the answers behind the measurement stay visible.

For brands & marketing teams

See the information environment around your brand.

ToldBy can run the same measurement from the brand side. See where your brand appears, where it doesn’t, which publishers and other sources AI systems rely on around your category, and which questions expose gaps in the story being told.

Instead of stopping at a visibility score, ToldBy lets you inspect the answers and sources behind it.

This is the same infrastructure publishers use to measure campaigns — viewed from the other side.

Brand presence

How often the brand appears across a fixed set of questions.

Source landscape

Which publishers, owned sites and other domains repeatedly shape those answers.

Question gaps

Where competitors appear and your brand does not.

Content evidence

The exact URLs and stored AI answers behind the measurement.

Content performance

Know which content is actually doing the work.

Campaign-level averages hide what is happening underneath. ToldBy measures individual URLs and your wider property footprint, so you can see which articles enter AI answers, which engines cite them, and where another article from the same property wins instead.

Track a single article, compare content across a campaign, or drill from a brand-level result all the way down to the answer that produced it.

The instrument

Every number has an answer behind it.

AI answers change. A useful measurement system has to show what was actually observed. ToldBy runs fixed question sets repeatedly across supported engines and keeps the resulting answers as evidence.

Null results stay in the dataset. New runs do not overwrite old ones. When a percentage moves, you can inspect the answers that moved it — in a campaign report, an editorial investigation of content performance, or a brand’s view of its AI presence.
